Travel Much? Exercise Can Be More Than Just a Walk in the Park
Exercising in a park? Add your equipment like bands and TRX straps to up the fun. Prepare to embark on a fitness journey that's more thrilling than dodging angry geese! Imagine you, a set of stretchy bands and TRX straps swinging from the play yard equipment like a second grader at recess. Trust me; it's a fun challenge.
Resistance bands are like flexible friends. They'll bend over backward to give you a great workout.
TRX equipment is a game changer because it elevates the park's jungle gym to max fun. And is small, light weight, and easy to stow. Suspended exercise might make you feel like a clumsy marionette, but soon you'll master it. Bonus: Gravity becomes your workout partner.
Seriously, exercising in a park with bands and TRX equipment is effective and a great alternative when there is no gym nearby. Connect with nature and get fit all at the same time.
If you need a reason consider these two:
1. Do it for the children. You can’t say, “Kids these days lack discipline and ambition,“ while sitting around overweight and stuffing our faces. They do what they see. Walk your talk!
2. You’ll need strength as you age to do some pretty simple things and live independently, like carry groceries, do bathroom stuff independently, get off the floor, etc..
Need help with converting routine exercises to the park setting? We give lots of examples of popular exercises converted to band/trx done at a playground or RV park on our YouTube channel: IdledTooLong
And reasons to go to the effort and do the work in our book: Idled To Long on Amazon and free on KindleUnlimited.
